No BuzzKill For Megan Slankard
Tracy Singer-Songwriter's TV Appearance Is PR Gold

After Friday Night's airing of her appearance on TLC's What Not To Wear, Megan Slankard has seen public interest in her rise to heights previously unknown by the Tracy born singer songwriter.

On Amazon's Top Sellers list, her current album Freaky Little Story broke into the top 20 outselling superstars Avril Lavinge and the Beastie Boys. She's also sold out on both Barnes & Noble's and Best Buy's websites.The online forums for What Not To Wear and her official site have registered hundreds of postive messages in the past two days.

Not bad for an unsigned artist.

Ironically, her appearance on What Not To Wear - a television makeover program where "unfashionable" guests are given a whole new wardrobe and look compliments of the show's style gurus - was originally scheduled for two months earlier leaving many fans to wonder if the show would ever air. It appears good things comes for those who wait, because her show was one of the best in the series and included Megan performing songs with her band. The latter turns out to have been a coup, since music lovers across the country now want to hear more from our local girl making good.

Of course with the episode's debut and the all ensuing buzz, one question sticks out like a sore thumb. Can a major record contract signing be far behind?

We wait with bated breath.
