No. I don't think anyone over at McFarlane Toys has an inferiority complex, but on to the reviews...
These two Matrix behemoths of toy sculpting greatness are deluxe in every sense of the word. With all the twisties, plastic, and cardboard packaging, it took me fifteen minutes to just get them both out of their boxes! Mcfarlane Toys clearly takes pride in their work as the level of detail borders on the anal retentive.

The A.P.U.s were one of the most memorable things in The Matrix Revolutions. Sure they have their origins in the Power Loader from Aliens, but Sigourney Weaver would have kicked the Alien Queen's ass so much quicker if she was strapped into an A.P.U. This sonofagun stands 12 feet tall and has 40 points of articulation but is actually quite light. The movement of the A.P.U. is very fluid; you don't feel like you need to be too delicate (which is a drawback in many McFarlane toys). Of course, this ride needs a driver and the A.P.U. come with the character Mifune who I remember having a much bigger nose in the nose. A more noticeable deficiency is that Mifune's hands don't properly grip the gun controls. I think most people will be foaming at the mouth over all the intricate details to care though. The A.P.U. is a toy classic.

The Sentinels are my personal favorites of the Matrix Universe (aside from Trinity's vinyl), but much to my disbelief in reality, the McFarlane toy doesn't get as high marks as the A.P.U. If measured by pure ascetics alone, they've done a magnificent job in sculpting the Sentinel. It's just like one of those high end statues from Palisades, and that's the problem. I want to play with this sucker, but its large size negates major handling. Sure you can bend each of the fifteen tentacles, but the legs of the sentinel do not extend or retract. As opposed to the A.P.U., I'll be spending more time looking at it, then playing with it.
